StaffCounselorsUpon enrollment, campers are organized into groups or "cabins" according to school grade and gender. Each "cabin" is assigned one counselor and one or two CIT's (Counselors in Training). Many of our counselors are college students and most are graduates of our own CIT program. ![]() Counselors-In-Training ProgramThis program is available to 14 and 15 year olds. It is designed to teach leadership skills, and instill a sense of responsibility. Letters of recommendation are required and the number of positions is limited. Interested applicants should contact the camp director and complete the CIT application form on our forms page. Health and SafetyThis is a primary concern at Holiday Hill Day Camp. Experienced and trained leadership is a key factor in achieving a safe environment for our campers. All staff members adhere to written regulations for the health and safety of the children. A licensed nursing staff is on duty throughout the day and the camp physician is on call in case of an emergency. You may visit our Nurse's Corner for more detailed healthcare information. InstructorsOur instructional staff is made up largely of teachers and college students who excel in a particular field. Certification or Licenses are required for some key staff positions such as Health Care, Waterfront, Target Sports, Boating, Low Ropes and Horseback Riding Instruction. ![]() AdministratorsOur current administrative staff provides the experience needed to assure a quality summer for our campers. Director Erik Patchkofsky and his assistant directors have contributed many years to children's camping. These staff members spend time during the pre-season working together to plan and implement the programs offered at Holiday Hill. They regularly attend camp conferences and seminars in order to stay abreast of new ideas that enhance the enjoyment, health, and safety of our campers.
